I’m Sweta Bhavin Tanna, founder of Tanna Sweets and Tanna Healthy Moms, a journey I embarked upon in 2021. Hello, I'm Sweta Tanna, and it’s my privilege to introduce both myself and my venture, Tanna Sweets and Tanna Healthy Moms. I was born and raised in Jamnagar, Gujarat (India), while my husband hails from Rajkot, Gujarat (India). We have two school-going sons, and until 2020, we lived in Bangalore, Karnataka (India).

With a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, I worked as a clinical research specialist with a CRO. However, in June 2020, when we moved to Sydney, Australia, during the COVID-19 pandemic, my path took a different turn. While initially I considered continuing my career in biotechnology, my heart led me in another direction — one driven by passion. I decided to follow that passion, and Tanna Sweets was born.

The sweets business runs in my veins. My family has been in the business since 1951, with my father, brother, uncle, and cousin running Kirit Sweets and Namkeen in Jamnagar. On my husband’s side, his grandfather owned a renowned sweet shop in Rajkot from 1947 to 1983. Encouraged by both families, I felt confident in bringing this legacy to life here in Sydney.

Caring for New Mothers

At Tanna Healthy Moms, we also honor the tradition of handmade laddus for expecting and new mothers. Rooted in Gujarat’s heritage, we offer pre- and post-natal varieties made with natural, high-quality ingredients. These laddus not only boost immunity during and after pregnancy but also provide essential nourishment. We also cater to new mothers’ needs with supplements and breastfeeding essentials.
